Les Davids

The Estate

Les Davids is an 800 acre organic wine estate located in the commune of Viens, on the edge of the Luberon Regional Nature Park in Provence. The estate is managed with a deep respect for nature, using organic farming methods that support biodiversity and preserve the unique character of the land. Its altitude, climate, and careful cultivation contribute to the production of exceptional wines year after year.

The Hamlets

Scattered across the estate are 2 charming Provencal hamlets turned into luxury holiday homes. Together, they make up Les Hameaux des Davids — 24 cozy rooms across 6 unique homes each set in beautifully landscaped gardens with views of the surrounding hills.

Our group will be staying at Cournille, a peaceful hamlet nestled in a small valley with views of the village of Viens. Cournille is composed of three houses—La Maison du Berger, La Maison Rose, and La Grande Maison—arranged around a charming stone courtyard. The hamlet includes two swimming pools, a spa with jacuzzi and sauna, two pétanque courts, and a tennis court, providing plenty of space for both relaxation and recreation.

The Winery

The estate’s chai (winery) was designed by French architect Marc Barani and built in harmony with the surrounding landscape, using wood-framed concrete in the natural ochre tones of the region. The three-level design allows winemaking by gravity rather than pumps, preserving the quality of the wine and reducing the need for added sulphites. All grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted, producing wines that reflect both the land and the thoughtful process behind them.

The Terrace & Bakery

La Terrasse, the estate’s restaurant, offers organic and seasonal menus focused on Provençal cuisine. Le Fournil, the estate’s bakery, offers freshly baked breads, savory and sweet tarts, and a selection of local cheeses and preserves. Many of the ingredients come directly from the estate’s organic market garden or nearby artisanal producers, making it a perfect stop for a taste of the region.
